Facebook Canvas campaign for Exodus Travels shortlisted for Best Use of Mobile

Following two awards at The Drum’s Marketing On Mobile Awards (MOMAs) earlier in the year, Digital Hybrid have been named finalists for the 2017 Drum Awards for Digital Excellence (DADIs) for the ‘World Invites You’ campaign for Exodus Travels. DADI Awards Finalist 2017

The Facebook Canvas campaign, “The World Invites You…” #ExodusHeroes, sought to introduce new audiences to several adventure travel destinations through the eyes of a local tour leader. In doing so users were offered a selection of videos, imagery and galleries within a Facebook Canvas to help them discover the many aspects of the region that might interest them.

With a core service offering which includes social media strategy, creative content and social advertising, Digital Hybrid has been shortlisted alongside a number of high profile industry names.

Chris Barned, Managing Director of Digital Hybrid, said:

‘Two MOMAs and now potentially (in the running at least) for a DADI too! Lets see if we can build ourselves a family.

This is fantastic news for us and we couldn’t be happier. The campaign itself targeted new audiences through mobile-first storytelling in the form of Facebook Canvas. By showcasing the personality and passion of Exodus Travels’ tour leaders we could introduce potential clients to new destinations through the eyes of a local.

It’s great to see that a campaign delivered on a tactical budget can deliver such outstanding results but to receive industry recognition for this is very flattering indeed. Proof, if ever it was needed, that successful social media marketing will always be recognised if it is both creative and effective in delivering tangible results.’
